Seawater cooled self-contained unit
The Stellair range is suitable for all kinds of small and medium-sized yachts, high-speed passenger ships, fishing boats and some working ships. This air conditioning unit is designed by Stella specifically for marine applications.
Features
Every unit is light and compact, these systems are made to be installed under bunks, in cabinetry or any other enclosed space. More freedom at installation is achieved with a rotatable blower that can be adjusted to suit the space. Stella has designed these marine air conditioning units to last with corrosion-resistant features such as titanium tubes and a stainless-steel tray. The tray features drain ports to ensure condensation does not build up.
Stellair air conditioning units are engineered to maximise the performance of R401a refrigerant, which provides more efficient cooling or heating of your space while also being the most environmentally friendly option.
Our range varies in capacity from 3,500 BTU to 36,000 BTU, meaning it will suit all your cooling needs.

An incredibly robust and reliable marine air-conditioning system built to last in the harsh marine environment. Corrosion resistant, light weight and quiet, these are the most ideal systems to have installed on vessels with 3 or more desired spaces to be cooled.
Stellair Split System air conditioners are made with cupronickel condenser tubing. The two separate units – the condenser and the evaporator – both built upon stainless-steel trays, each of which feature 2 drain ports, ensuring condensation does not linger.
Where to install the units
The condenser must be installed in the bilge, engine room or utility room where it is sea water cooled. The condenser is purely pumping R401a refrigerant around the boat to the fan coils. The fan coils can be installed in the cabin or under the berth where they are able to supply cooling or heating through the grilles. Stellair supply grilles have been designed with the intention of fitting the aesthetic of most boats, so they will seamlessly fit the interior of a vessel.
Features
Corrosion resistant, small volume, light weight.

Stellair Chilled Water Plants are high-capacity modular chiller units designed for large pleasure yachts and commercial vessels. The System is made up of several chiller modules with the same capacity, cooling, and heating function. Individual modules range in capacity from 24,000 – 180,000 BTU. A combination of 1-6 independent modules in total can make up one whole Modular Chilled Water Plant.
The Chilled Water Plant uses sea water to provide heat rejection into the chilled water system. You will install multiple fan coil units through-out the yacht into each room.
Every yacht is different, and as such, every system will be designed differently.
Stellair Chilled Water Systems are custom designed to fit each vessel’s very specific air regulating requirements.
Installation
The Chilled Water Plants will be installed in the engine room or machinery space and mounted on to a suitable frame so the chiller plant is secure and cannot flex or move.
Air Handlers should be installed in a position in the cabin to allow for return air flow to the unit and ducted supply air back to the cabin. Common installation positions are in wardrobes, under beds, within built in seating, wall cavities etc.
