Split System Marine Air-conditioning Units
Split System Marine Air-conditioning Units Image

An incredibly robust and reliable marine air-conditioning system built to last in the harsh marine environment. Corrosion resistant, light weight and quiet, these are the most ideal systems to have installed on vessels with 3 or more desired spaces to be cooled.

Stellair Split System air conditioners are made with cupronickel condenser tubing. The two separate units – the condenser and the evaporator – both built upon stainless-steel trays, each of which feature 2 drain ports, ensuring condensation does not linger.

Where to install the units

The condenser must be installed in the bilge, engine room or utility room where it is sea water cooled. The condenser is purely pumping R401a refrigerant around the boat to the fan coils. The fan coils can be installed in the cabin or under the berth where they are able to supply cooling or heating through the grilles. Stellair supply grilles have been designed with the intention of fitting the aesthetic of most boats, so they will seamlessly fit the interior of a vessel.

Chilled Water Plant Marine Air-conditioning
Chilled Water Plant Marine Air-conditioning Image

Stellair Chilled Water Plants are high-capacity modular chiller units designed for large pleasure yachts and commercial vessels. The System is made up of several chiller modules with the same capacity, cooling, and heating function. Individual modules range in capacity from 24,000 – 180,000 BTU. A combination of 1-6 independent modules in total can make up one whole Modular Chilled Water Plant.

The Chilled Water Plant uses sea water to provide heat rejection into the chilled water system. You will install multiple fan coil units through-out the yacht into each room.

Every yacht is different, and as such, every system will be designed differently.

Stellair Chilled Water Systems are custom designed to fit each vessel’s very specific air regulating requirements.

Installation

The Chilled Water Plants will be installed in the engine room or machinery space and mounted on to a suitable frame so the chiller plant is secure and cannot flex or move.

Air Handlers should be installed in a position in the cabin to allow for return air flow to the unit and ducted supply air back to the cabin. Common installation positions are in wardrobes, under beds, within built in seating, wall cavities etc.

Bow Thrusters
QS Seamaster Bow and Stern Thrusters
QS Seamaster Bow and Stern Thrusters Image

Designed for the most demanding yachtsman, developed together with boat builders.

QS Seamaster has developed a complete and advanced line of DC, brushless, AC and hydraulic electric thrusters. Built and designed entirely in Italy, the product range includes 40 to 1100 Kgf models for boats and yachts up to 150ft.

QS Seamaster thruster benefits

The propeller

4 and 5 blade propellers designed specifically to ensure maximum performance and efficiency from each motor.
Propellers made of special composite or in NiBrAl. All double propellers are counterrotating.

The propeller of each of the thruster models between 40 and 1100kgf is specifically shaped in relation to its maximum revolutions, which provides the highest thrust efficiency.

The motor

A complete line of DC, AC, brushless DC-AC, retractable and hydraulic thrusters from 30 to 1100 Kgf thrust, available both with analogic or digital connection systems, on/off or proportional commands. The QS Seamaster bow and stern thrusters represent the most advanced range of products available on the market.

Noise

The noise production of QS Seamaster thrusters is reduced to the bare minimum due to the specific design of the propellers and the optimized streamline of the tail piece.

Installation

All of the thrusters we supply here at Stella are tunnel thrusters.

Installation of a QS Seamaster bow thruster is super simple and requires minimal labour.

A control panel, either equipped with a joystick or with push buttons, is available separately. Their shape and finish make these panels a perfect match with their engine instrument panels, allowing for a highly sophisticated combination.

Stella Backup Guarantee

Stella is proud to be the exclusive Australian importer and distributor of QS Seamaster Thrusters. Designed and manufactured in Italy, their Bow and Stern thruster product is second to none in quality and performance.

We don’t just sell the equipment; we also back it up. You can have confidence that with his vast years of experience that your installation will be the right one for your vessel.

Stella’s service and spare parts back-up is unrivalled, and in combination with the 2-year warranty from date of commissioning we know that your experience with our product will be trouble free.

If you have any questions, any problem or request, we are here to assist.

Stern Thruster

If you require almost absolute control of your boat under all imaginable circumstances, then a stern thruster is, in addition to a bow thruster, the ideal supporting navigational aid.

Benefits of a stern thruster

The combination of a bow and a stern thruster offers entirely new perspectives when maneuvering in tricky situations or in tight turns. By having the stern thruster rotating in the opposite direction of the bow thruster, you can make the boat turn on its axis. And when both propellers are operating in the same direction, you are maneuvering the boat perpendicularly on its normal direction line, to either port or starboard.

Installation of a stern thruster

The maintenance-free stern thruster is fitted to the transom of the boat. The electric motor and the other electrical components are positioned inside the boat, whereas the tunnel is located outside underneath the waterline.

QS Seamaster Bow & Stern Thrusters
Craftsman Bow Thrusters
Craftsman Bow Thrusters Image

Bow and stern thrusters have become an important device when moving at low speed.

It makes manoeuvring easier, safer and quicker.

Craftsman Marine thruster benefits

The propeller

The propeller, which is made of maintenance-free synthetic material, can run in two directions, thus producing a jet flow to port or starboard. Each propeller is designed to achieve maximum thrust in a small tunnel diameter. This makes maneuvering in tight spots against a strong current or a shifty wind much easier.

The propeller of each of the thruster models between 35 and 170kgf is specifically shaped in relation to its maximum revolutions, which provides the highest thrust efficiency.

The motor

Craftsman Marine specifies the average force of the thrusters, however the starting peak force (1 second) can be easily 60% higher.

Noise

The noise production of Craftsman Marine thrusters is reduced to the bare minimum due to the specific design of the propellers and the optimized streamline of the tail piece.

Installation

All of the thrusters we supply here at Stella are tunnel thrusters.

Installation of a Craftsman Marine bow thruster is totally uncomplicated and requires a minimum of labour.

A control panel, either equipped with a joystick or with push buttons, is available separately. Their shape and finish make these panels a perfect match with their engine instrument panels, allowing for a highly sophisticated combination.

Stern Thruster

If you require almost absolute control of your boat under all imaginable circumstances, then a stern thruster is, in addition to a bow thruster, the ideal supporting navigational aid.

Benefits of a stern thruster

The combination of a bow and a stern thruster offers entirely new perspectives when manoeuvring in tricky situations or in tight turns. And when both propellers are operating in the same direction, you are manoeuvring the boat perpendicularly on its normal direction line, to either port or starboard.

Installation of a stern thruster

The maintenance-free stern thruster is fitted to the transom of the boat. The electric motor and the other electrical components are positioned inside the boat, whereas the tunnel is located outside underneath the waterline. Craftsman Marine’s stern thrusters come in four sizes and capacities, with tunnel dimensions of 110, 150, 185 or 250 mm.

Additional Parts

Control Panels

Bow and stern thrusters liberate the skipper from his heavy handiwork. The control panels of the Craftsman Marine bow and stern thrusters also contribute to optimum ease of operation. Both push button and joystick control are available.

In the case of only a bow thruster, a single panel is used. Dual panels serve the purpose of both a bow and a stern thruster.

The top sides of the panels are made watertight in accordance with the protection classification IP66. Craftsman Marine thruster control panels are milled from an aluminium sheet and anodised to ensure perfect protection against all (marine) weather conditions. They also include protection for motor direction, temperature and continuous use.

Cables

Connection cables in 7,10, 15 and 20m lengths.

To connect the bow and/or stern thrusters to the appropriate control panel, a cable loom is required, which can be ordered to size, in lengths from 7 to 20m.

Craftsman marine cables come with watertight, multi-plugs. Cables of different lengths can be interconnected. With the aid of a splitter cable, two control panels can be connected to only one bow or stern thruster.

Tunnels

GRP and steel to suit each thruster in 1 and 3m lengths.

Craftsman Marine can supply the required tunnels in various lengths and diameters, in steel, aluminium or GRP (fibreglass reinforced polyester) to suit each thruster in their product range.

Piccolo Generators
Piccolo Generators Image

The Piccolo generator range of compact generators combines the latest diesel engine technology with a new way of producing electrical power. Instead of adding an alternator with fixed speed on the back of the fly-wheel, WhisperPower has designed a very compact permanent magnet alternator (PMA), located just behind the engine. As a result, these systems are much smaller and lighter compared to traditional generators. The generator RPM can be fixed to a position offering the optimal balance between RPM, output power, audible noise and vibration.

Marine Sewage Treatment
Marine Sewage Treatment System
Marine Sewage Treatment System Image

Sewage? The Solution

The discharge of raw sewage into the sea can create a health hazard. Sewage can also lead to oxygen depletion and can be an obvious visual pollution in coastal areas – a major problem for countries with tourist industries.

The main sources of human-produced sewage are land-based – such as municipal sewers or treatment plants. However, the discharge of sewage into the sea from ships also contributes to marine pollution.

Therefore, the regulations in Annex IV of MARPOL prohibit the discharge of sewage into the sea within a specified distance of the nearest land, unless the ships have in operation an approved sewage treatment system.

www.imo.org

Our Sewage treatment system are designed for the treatment and removal of bacterial pollution through an oxide/reduction process and to drastically reduce TSS, BOD5, COD, turbidity and the organic and physical pollutants in waste water produced on boat thanks to a fine purification system.

Treat the black water on your vessel with Blue Sea

The BLUE SEA system is a new generation wastewater purifier capable of treating from 2500-22000 litres a day.

The Blue Sea system is equipped to purify, macerate and sterilize all in accordance with the enforced norms regarding the discharge of wastewater into the sea.

In fact, a BLUE SEA marine wastewater treatment plant guarantees the elimination of bacterial pollution through an oxide/reduction process and, most of all, drastically reduces TSS, BOD5, COD, turbidity and the organic and physical pollutants in wastewater produced on a boat, thanks to the fine purification system.

Selmar BLUE SEA treated wastewater complies with the international regulation of “Marpol” environmental rules.

Selmar’s purification system is based off of an advanced oxidation-reduction process as well as being equipped with two units of U.V sterilization (primary and secondary), an air blower, oxygenation unit, flotation system, “cleaning/sanitation” unit and the advanced maceration/comminution stage. All of these stages and units together complete the marine sewage treatment plant and make it unique in its kind.

The “Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP)” uses a combined action of ozone, OH free radicals, ultraviolet rays and hydrogen peroxide, making it incredibly effective for black and grey wastewater treatment.

Marine Toilets
Planus Marine Toilets
Planus Marine Toilets Image

The technical features integrated into every Planus marine toilet are what set them apart from any other in the marketplace. The pump has an 80 meter vertical and 8-meter head – you are not restricted by plumbing lengths or head heights. They are designed to be as quiet as possible. Planus have patented systems that eliminate cavitation in the bowl and hammer in the water pipes. Planus toilets are brilliant for fitting in small spaces, specifically designed to fit a full-sized porcelain bowl onto yachts. The only real difference between the range of Planus toilets is the porcelain shape – technically they are the same.

Technical Features

The Vortex System

The high-speed rotation of the VORTEX pump and the geometric design of its piping create a great vacuum able to remove water and organic waste from the bowl. The high-level performance ensures the greatest possible flexibility in planning the route of the discharge hoses, allowing it to reach significant distances and heights.

Air Vent Anti Cavitation

The noise of the vortex pump in many marine toilets is due to cavitation caused by the presence of air in the pump that is sucked through the toilet drainage hole at the end of each discharge sequence. Planus systems use a patented “automatic vent air discharge” system that enables the pump to run without cavitation. No cavitation = minimal noise.

Water Hammer Arrestor

Planus has introduced the “water hammer arrestor” as a standard component of its preassembled inlet solenoid, eliminating hammer in the water pipes when the solenoid shuts off. This device is very effective in reducing noise and vibration along the inlet pipeline.

Dripping Water System

Planus makes the ceramic bowl with a “dripping water system”. This system eliminates the need for ugly, noisy plastic nozzles inside the toilet bowl.

Rectified Bowls

Planus rectifies its bowls in order to guarantee the perfect installation. Planus, after porcelain bowls cooking, rectifies both the base and the rear wall by the use of a numerical control machine. This further work guarantees a perfect and uniform (90°) toilet.

Soft Close Hinge Option

The new soft close hinge, in ASI 316 stainless steel, offers high slowing down efficiency, elegance and firmness.

The soft close system is nowadays a common feature offered to the market. However this system has so far only been applied to light plastic seats and cover. Planus differentiates itself in this regard after having developed a series of soft-close hinges with original highest quality SUGASTUNE damers, world’s leader in this field, and applied them to its luxury wooden seat and cover with bright polyester coat.

High-Quality Seats

Planus supplies its bowls with a high-quality wooden seat covered with a polyester coating, available in standard or soft close.

Control Panels

We stock and supply a One Button controller and a Two-Button controller. The biggest difference is that the Two Button controller will ensure there is no water left in the bowl after use.

The Three Models Explained and their key differences

Stella supplies three types of Planus toilets – Match, Stilo and New Artic. These are then further broken down into Match Short, Match Cut Short, Stilo Plus, Stilo, and New Artic.

Defining the models:

Cut A ’Cut’ model of a Planus marine toilet means that the back has been cut at an angle for best installation practice.

Short Is as its namesake suggests, the shorter version.

Distinguishing features

Match models are the shortest Planus Toilets. The only difference between Match Short and Match Cut Short is the angle at which the back of the toilet is cut.

Stilo is the middle model, it is taller than the Match series and shorter than the New Artic

Stilo Plus has the largest bowl, longest top area, and biggest base.

New Artic is the tallest and skinniest with the smallest bowl.

Sizing the right windscreen wiper blades and arms for your boat

The size and shape of the glass that has to be wiped determine which motor, arm and blade are needed. The larger the wiping area, the larger the arms and blades have to be to cover that area. The larger the arms and blades are, the stronger the motor has to be. Therefore we divided our products in sections: large windows (1100-2500mm in height), medium and small sized windows (till 1100mm in height).

Rope Cutters
Rope and Line Cutter
Rope and Line Cutter Image

The revolutionary quicKutter© system eliminates rope and line problems.  The system has no moving parts to wear out and is easy to install.

How does the Quickwater quicKutter© System Work?

The Quickwater spool is fixed to the propeller between the propeller and bearing carrier to prevent the rope or line from wrapping around the shaft. It provides a surface for the rope or line to wrap around to enable the quicKutter© blades to continually cut the coils of rope or line as they form and are pressed against the quicKutter© blades.

The quicKutter© is fixed to the bearing carrier and protrudes out over the Quickwater spool surface ensuring that the clearance does not allow rope or line to pass under the blade and that rope or line is continually cut away to allow a continuous flow of water to exit from the bearing.

Hydraulic Fin Stabilizers
Hydraulic Fin Stabilizers Image

Trac are the world’s largest stabilizer manufacturer and produce both underway and STAR (STabilisation At Rest).

ABT-TRAC Yacht Stabilizers dramatically improve ride comfort in any sea-state or wave angle. TRAC’s 3-term control detects vessel motion and instantly adjusts fin stabilizer position to counteract roll.

We don’t just sell the equipment; we also back it up with a complete installation, commissioning and maintenance service via our TRAC factory trained technicians.

In marine stabilizers, speed is the key. You must stop Roll before it starts otherwise you end up fighting the vessel’s momentum as well as the forces of the sea, and that’s a losing battle. The lightning-fast reaction time of the TRAC yacht stabilizer is key to its premium performance.

TRAC Advantages

Dramatic Yacht Stabilizing Performance

Dramatic is the only word that even comes close to describing the performance of an ABT-TRAC marine stabilizer system compared to any first-generation boat stabilizer. Other boat stabilizing products provide some degree of “roll dampening“ but the ABT-TRAC marine stabilizer virtually eliminates roll altogether!

ABT-TRAC Boat Stabilizers Are Fast Acting

Solid state inertial sensors feed TRAC’s control processor with vessel roll and heel angle data in real time. TRAC’s stabilizer fin angle of attack is adjusted over 200 times per second to create roll countering lift the instant it is detected.

A Digitally Designed Yacht Stabilizer

The TRAC stabilizer fin was computer designed from the ground up by a nationally recognized hydrodynamics design team. The Stabilizer fin chord shape was optimized to create maximum lift without cavitation at typical cruising speeds. But to give the TRAC fin the lift needed to provide absolute stabilizing performance, a “winglet“ was designed and added to the tip of the fin. The winglet provides a substantial increase in lift while reducing drag at the same time.

The TRAC Winglet

A traditional boat stabilizer fin loses a measurable amount of lift out at the tip as water on the high-pressure side wraps around the tip to the low-pressure side. The phenomenon also creates what is called a “wing tip vortex“ which is a major component of drag. The TRAC stabilizer fin winglet provides a barrier to high pressure “wraparound“ thus increasing lift and reducing drag at the same time.“

TRAC Stabilizer Easy Touch Screen Access

TRAC Link is an integrated CAN Bus control for TRAC stabilizers, thrusters, and auxiliary hydraulic loads. TRAC Link control allows multiple touch screen panels and thruster control stations to be connected via simple network cables. Thrusters, stabilizers and auxiliary hydraulics can be controlled from the same touch screen. TRAC Link also monitors hydraulic pressure and stabilizer performance. TRAC thrusters can be precisely controlled to manoeuvre the vessel to the dock and hold it there. Dual windlass control is available from the touch screen.

Integrated Hydraulics Drive TRAC Marine Stabilizers

A dedicated Integrated Hydraulics System (ABT•TRAC central hydraulic system) provides hydraulic fluid power to the TRAC stabilizer.

Space Saving Boat Stabilization System

The TRAC Stabilizer fin actuator is designed with a low profile to minimize installation space. The boat Stabilizer’s larger mounting flange makes actuator installation easier and spreads fin loads into the hull over a greater area.

We work on a personal, technical advice basis so give us a call on (07) 5665 8071 or press the enquire now button.

Marine Engineering company for 20 years

What sets Stella Watermakers apart from any other is the decade of marine engineering experience that predated the first design concept. After many years of experience operating, servicing, selling, and installing all brands and types of watermakers, the team at Stella knew we could build a machine that required less servicing, was simple to operate, and was guaranteed to work when you needed it to.

Since 2011 Stella has been building the best small desalination systems for both marine and land using only high-quality pumps with great warranty reputations, constructed of 316 stainless steel and duplex, no use of proprietary parts, and no unnecessary electronics.

Stella Watermakers combines simplicity with quality components to create a reliable, easy-to-use system that offers real value for money. Whether you are a seasoned superyacht engineer or cruising yachty our modular watermakers are designed for easy installation, operation, and maintenance.

A detailed explanation of our Gen 3 marine watermaker system is below.

The Generation 3 Stella Watermaker

Gen 3 is a modular watermaker system (separate components, not a large framed box) so they can be fitted wherever there is available space (pictured) and use no electronics, just simple manual control valves.

All Stella Watermakers come standard with

1 x Control Panel, 1 x GP motor and high-pressure pump (unless engine drive, see below), 1 x Davey Low-Pressure Pump, Filmtec membranes (1,2 or 3) and housings, 1 x 20 micron and 5-micron pleated filters, 2 x seawater filter housings, 1 x carbon filter, and housing, standard high-pressure hoses and a TDS reader (Everything pictured).

* Autoflush is an optional extra, not everyone wants it though it is the only piece of automation we would recommend here.

Stella Manufactures AC or Engine Driven Watermakers

Electric 240VAC

The watermakers for larger powerboats, yachts, and catamarans with a suitable sized AC Genset. Always the first option, easy installation and makes lots of water fast. You will need a minimum 3.5kva (continuously rated) Genset to run our 240VAC electric unit. Output is 70, 140, or 210 litres per hour of water using 1, 2, or 3 standard membranes. Power usage (LP and HP pump) is approx. 12 amps when running (without start-up load). For more info download the 240VAC manual at the bottom of this page.

Engine Driven

For all marine vessels without a Genset, but with an inboard engine. It’s a very efficient and reliable way of making plenty of water very quickly. You will need a suitable engine with room to fit an engine bracket and pulley system. We have some standard brackets available or custom fabrication is required. Output is 80, 160, or 240 litres per hour of water using 1, 2, or 3 standard membranes. Power usage is approx. 2HP draw from the engine. For more info download the engine drive manual at the bottom of this page.

Stella Options

Auto Flush

Makes it easier to maintain your watermaker if you are not making water or on the boat every week to perform a manual flush. All watermaker membranes need to be freshwater flushed after each use and then every 7 days if not pickled for storage to avoid damage to the membrane. Our auto-flush system includes a box with a dual timer and solenoid valve to flush your system with water from your boat’s tank for a few minutes every 7 days.

Spares Kit

All the consumables you need for 6-12 months cruising (depending on usage). Includes: 3x 20-micron seawater filters, 3x 5-micron seawater filters, 1x 5-micron charcoal (carbon) filter, 1x 500g pickling solution (for membrane storage), 1x 1lt HP pump oil.

Stella Advantages

Simple manual operation, no electronics

We have made it simple to use. You don’t have to study the manual to be able to operate our watermakers. We have removed the electronic automation which usually makes watermakers difficult to use, unreliable, and even harder to fix. Just two valves on the control panel and a knob to wind up the pressure. Comes with a laminated “Quick Start-Up Sheet“ with step-by-step instructions so anyone can make water quickly.

Super performance and reliability

Our watermakers make a lot of water fast! 80-240 liters per hour with our AC and engine-driven units. When it comes to making water ”the quicker the better” so you don’t have to do it every day or for long periods. With simplicity and quality components with a lack of electronics comes unequaled reliability, critical when cruising.

Quality 316 stainless steel components

From our high-pressure pump to our membrane housing end caps and fittings, all-metal components are 316-grade stainless steel (or Duplex), designed for a harsh marine environment. We appreciate quality and have sourced the best components from around the world for our watermakers. This combination of quality components and a simple design creates a very reliable, easy-to-use system.

Low maintenance and running costs

A simpler, better-engineered watermaker with fewer components means less maintenance is required. Running costs are minimal, and will depend on how often it’s used and how well it’s maintained. Consumables such as membranes, filters, pickling solution, and pump oil are all standard items available from us or worldwide.

Modular design for easy installation

Gen 3 Watermakers are modular (separate components not a large framed box) so can be fitted wherever there is available space. The Control Panel can be mounted with other components or remotely in a bathroom cabinet or cockpit locker.

70-210 litres of water per hour (expandable)

Our AC and engine-driven units make lots of water very quickly. Our standard high-pressure pumps will run up to 3 membranes, so if your water requirements change you can always just add another membrane to increase water production.

No high maintenance energy recovery pumps

We don’t use complicated energy recovery pumps with lots of o-rings and poppet valves that create more maintenance. We use industry-standard 316 stainless steel triplex high-pressure pumps with solid ceramic plungers, designed specifically for marine desalination. Parts and service for these pumps are available worldwide.

No cracking plastic membrane end plugs

We don’t use plastic membrane housing end caps; they have a habit of cracking causing dangerous high-pressure leaks. We use quality Duplex 2205 stainless steel end caps for high strength and corrosion resistance.

High-Quality High-pressure hoses

We don’t use cheap and nasty high-pressure hoses; they chafe easily from pump or engine vibration and can split or burst causing injury and damage. We use the highest quality hoses we can find with Quality 316 Stainless fittings. The hoses are protected with an anti-wear wrap to help protect and prolong the life of the hoses.

No proprietary components

We use industry-standard components that you can easily find worldwide. If you are in a remote area we can ship parts fast if required or help you source them locally.

  • The low friction generator responds rapidly to wind speed changes and its inertia drives the turbine on between gusts to capture more energy
  • Power optimising Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) boosts the turbine’s output
  • Marine grade stainless steel and aluminium are combined with modern, durable but lightweight materials to give a high quality build and finish.

Rutland Advantages

Rutland’s low wind speed start up is unrivalled. The highly efficient blade and generator designs deliver charge into your batteries long before many other turbines are picking up. Overall that’s more power to you!

Marlec are innovators, leading the way in their industry on aerodynamic, electronics and low friction generator designs to deliver modern, durable wind turbines that have continued to stand the test of time.

They keep it simple and user friendly for our tens of thousands of users worldwide. Eg the blades have a positive one-way-only fit so there’s no need for the user to align with other components.

Quietly – their fully integrated product designs result in quiet operation so you can liveaboard without disturbance from noisy blades.

Reliably – with over 100,000 units sold worldwide, Rutland turbines have been proven time and again on land and sea. The UK based factory is manufactured under ISO9002 operating standards and their testing parameters are rigorous.

Effortlessly – just a gentle breeze is all it takes to start delivering charge into your batteries.  The Rutland 1200 highly efficient blades and low inertia generator capture the free and abundant energy in the wind.

Environmentally Friendly – be at one with the sea and use the natural resources of the wind and sun to fulfil your energy needs without costing the earth.

914i Wind Charger
914i Wind Charger Image

The Rutland 914i was developed following the long success of the 913 model. Its 30% increased generating capacity, from the same diameter turbine, is achieved through advanced maximum power point tracking (MPPT) electronics, delivering even more energy from the wind. Ideal for liveaboard and weekend yachting boats from 10 meters.

The Rutland 914i punches well above its size for power, rivalling the claimed outputs of larger turbines, owing to its built-in MPPT technology. This continuously matches the turbine speed and generator to their optimum performance to deliver more ampere hours into your battery…and a by-product of this optimised efficiency is a virtually silent wind turbine!

Materials

Marlec have innovated their field by introducing light weight but robust high-density nylon and glass reinforced materials that are UV stable alongside marine grade aluminium, stainless steel, sealed for life bearings and other carefully selected and precision worked materials in the UK factory.
